The 2nd Joint Action on Networks of Expertise recently launched a restricted network hosted on the European Commission’s Health Policy Platform: EU Health Networks – Synergies and Challenges.

The Restricted Network brings together 14 Joint Actions, EU projects, and EU Networks (e.g., European Reference Networks) and aims to discuss the synergies and challenges we all will face while developing new EU Health Networks.

This initiative is the first of its kind and we are grateful to the European Commission @DG SANTE and European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) for supporting this initiative. On the occasion of the launch, Mr Philippe Roux, Head of Unit for Cancer and Health in all Policies, DG SANTE congratulated the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano(INT), the Coordinators of JANE-2, and the JANE-2 Joint Action, for leading this important work on fostering synergies and making use of the Commission’s Health Policy Platform.
“I encourage all participating Joint Actions, projects and ERNs to fully engage in this space. Together we can make this move towards stronger collaboration in cancer control across Europe.”

Mr Georgios Margetidis, Head of Sector for EU4Health programme, HaDEA, also welcomed this Restricted Network on the Health Policy Platform and stressed the importance of collaboration and synergies.
“We needed a space for all cancer-related Joint Actions, EU-projects and European Reference Networks to come together: now we have one”.

JANE-2 looks forward to collaborating with the 14 Joint Actions, EU Projects and European Reference Networks -to jointly tackle the challenges that we will all face. And to jointly create solutions.
